Former Central regional Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Allotey Jacobs has accepted the fact that, in terms of ruling, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) comes nowhere near the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, he doesn’t even want to be called a former member of the NDC but will remain “Social Commentator”.It looks like the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) is on a path of weeding supposed miscreants from the party.
The party earlier announced the dismissal of one of its long-standing members, Bernard Allotey Jacobs.
The former Central Regional Chairman of the party, Allotey Jacobs was dismissed on grounds of stated “anti-party behaviour.”
A letter addressed to Allotey Jacobs disclosed that the decision to dismiss him was sanctioned by the Functional Executive Committee.
“At our meeting on Wednesday 17th March, the Functional Executive Committee of the NDC considered the report and recommendations of the Disciplinary Committee on the case of misconduct and anti-party behaviour brought against you Mr. Allotey Jacob’s pursuant to article 48(1) (b) and 8 (b) of the NDC Constitution…
Reacting to this, the suspended Allotey described the statement of the party as “useless” and of no merit.
According to him, he has already resigned publicly from the party hence cannot fathom the current gesture of the party executives.
He stressed that, he will continue to speak the truth without fear of intimidation from any party.
