A/R; DCE THREATENS CHIEF FOR CRITICISING HIM

Nana Akwasi Owusu (i), the Chief of Baakoniaba in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, has been threatened to be dealt with by the District Chief Executive of the area.

According to Nana Owusu, the DCE, William Darko on last Sunday,17 January,2021 called his wife (Chief’s wife) on phone and warned her that, he’ll will deal rudelessly with his husband.

He said, “Tell your husband that, I, William Darko will send my boys to come to him”.

William Darko, the DCE for Atwima Mponua of the Ashanti Region has come under severe bash by the residents of the community over what the concerned residents describe as poor-performer District Chief Executive in the history of Ghanaian politics.

According to the people, the DCE since his assumption into office has done nothing for the communities hence calling for his head to be chopped by the first gentleman of the State, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.

Nana Akwasi Owusu (I), putting his foot into the shoes of his people also called for the dismissal of the DCE which did not gone down well to the DCE hence threatening him.

Confirming the incident on Omanbapa Morning Show on SilverFM with Nana Kwabena Ampratwum, monitored by Africannewsgh, Nana Akwasi Owusu (i) said, “yes, William Darko has threatened to deal with me.He said he will send his men to come after me for speaking the truth about his poor performance but I’m ready waiting for him”.

“I’m not going anywhere because I believe in my God and I don’t fear him”, he added.

He was quick to add that, the matter has been reported to the police.
