A deadly trapped pothole that has developed on the Abrepo Junction – Sofoline stretch is claiming a lot of souls recently.
To be specific, the pothole is opposite the first garage in between Abrepo Junction and Prempeh College and near the Suntreso Government Hospital.
According to report gathered so far by Africannewsgh from residents and eye witnesses of the vicinity, Two people lost their lives through the pothole on Sunday, 17 January, 2021 .
What is on the chopping table now is that, one life has also been claimed after the Corolla vehicle they were on board veered into the pothole.
Narrating the sadden incident, Emmanuel Owusu, eye witness and resident said, he heard the strange sound, “Poom Poom” and when he rushed out to see what has happened, the Toyota had already tumbled severally after the driver ignorantly hit the pothole.
Instantly, one of them died and the rest in the car have been rushed to the Suntreso Government Hospital for treatment.
Another Resident, Nana Akwasi disclosed that, he witnessed the Sunday’s incident where the same pothole claimed two souls making it Three (3) deaths within three days.
The residents alongside the road are therefore appealing to the powers that be to as a matter of urgency rectify the problem.
