The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan has symphathised with his colleague Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawase Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Mubarak Muntaka Mohammed for apologising over his unsubstantiated comment against Justice of the Supreme Court.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawase Constituency, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka has apologised for any harm done to the image and reputation of the Lord Justices of the Supreme Court and members of the Judiciary.
This follows his allegation that a Justice of the Supreme Court tried to bribe a National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament-elect (MP) to influence her in the election of a Speaker of Parliament.
“Based upon good counsel, I have also decided to let sleeping dogs lie and will consequently refrain from any further public commentary on the matter which, as I have indicated was originally reported to me by a female colleague Parliamentarian,” part of a release sighted by Africannewsgh read.
Speaking on Omanbapa Morning Show on Silver FM, monitored by Africannewsgh, the Deputy Majority Whip in Parliament, Hon. Seyram told the host of the show Nana Kwabena Ampratwum that, though they are in the opposite side in as much as political parties are concern but since to err is human and humans are also fallible, her Colleague, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed should be pardoned by the Supreme Court and Ghanaians as a whole.
“I think to err is humanbeing, and also humans are not God, Muntaka is also fallible and should be forgiven as such”, She said.
She again urged everybody to adhere to all the protocols especially wearing of nosemask, frequent use of hand sanitizer to help curtail the spread of the novel virus.
