Central Market:Traders bare teeth at their leaders

Scores of traders at the Kumasi Central Market (KCM) are lambasting their leaders for sabotaging them.

According to them, some of the leaders have been able to acqure a store for their relatives whiles some of them have been evicted from their acquired place of trading.

They added that, they had paid huge amount to one Member of the Committee steering the affairs of the market, Mr. Ankama for acquisition of the shops but still to no avail.

But reacting to the accusations, the Chairman of the Central Market Traders Association (CEMTA), Mr. Frank Antwi told Silver FM’s reporter, Akwadaa Nyame that, the leaders of the Association worked hard to acqure a shop for the traders.

He said the leftover traders should not blame the leaders but blame themselves adding that these traders dissociated themselves from the association when the leaders were fighting to acquire the shop.
