Give us one month to sell our goods- Second hand cloth sellers beg KMA

Second hand cloth traders at the Kumasi Central market are pleading to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to give them another one month to ply their goods at the Central market.

Speaking to Africannewsgh.com reporter, Akwadaa Nyame, they said that, they have not been given a better place for them to sell their goods hence the need for the authorities to give them another chance to sell their goods.

According to them, though they all want the Central market to be constructed but life will become unbearable for them if they are been evicted without getting a better place to ply their goods.

They added that, they are now selling school materials and believe they will finish selling them within a month time.

Second-hand clothing sellers at the Kumasi Central Market in the Ashanti Region have said they will not relocate to the Abinkyi Market until the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) finds them a suitable place to move their business.

The traders held a protest against the KMA on Thursday, 4 March 2021.

The aggrieved traders, numbering about 5,000, described the spaces demarcated for them as too small to accommodate them.

The aggrieved traders revealed that, they will leave the place peacefully if they are been given the one month chance to ply their goods.
