Some traders at the Kumasi Central Market have stormed the office of the Regional Minister designate, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah after been evicted to pave way for construction of Kumasi Central Market.
According to some of the angry traders, they were not informed about this exercise only to see that, the whole place has been covered with iron sheets.
One trader in an interview angrily stated that, they had not been relocated to any place to ply their goods.
Some of them allegedly blamed the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) for giving out stores to Ghanaians who base outside the country.
“They take us for granted because we are from a less privilege families whiles others have gotten about four to fives stores which is not fair”, an elderly woman lamented in an interview with Africannewsgh.
“We want the authorities to find a better place for us to ply our goods before our hard earned monies go in vain”,they said.
